There are times that we realize too late that these are the greatest assets we have and sadly, at times that we don't realize it at all so we then begin to wonder for what reason we are so unhappy. This is why we have an obligation of never giving up to stressful situations and to go fighting for true happiness in being alive.

Let us not forget also that mismanaging time can spawn horrific health problems both physical and mental. But there is good news - time can be domesticated and we can force it in a manner of speaking answer to us The first step is to identify the elements that robe your time and usually they are divided into two groups:

The external constituents - These are mostly the result by events, or problems that we cannot control but still require attendance.

The private ingredients – These are related strictly to our own personal weaknesses like priorities and aims that differ, and lack of a working plan and self imposed deadlines, the desire to do a lot of things at the same time and not being able to say no.

By now you have probably remembered similar situations that you have experienced, but all you have to do is find some way to rid yourself of them so that you can be in charge of your time, once again. Here are three possible ways in which you can do that:

Grow accustomed to penning everything down -This is helpful and even more so if you forget things easily. Otherwise you might fail to remember to go to important meetings, to make phone calls to return messages that your promised to return. You can also make note of good ideas as well as inspirations that come to you at unexpected times.

Know your priorities - It doesn't take much time to draw it and you could even get it done as you have your morning coffee. Record the things that need done that day, depending on how important they are.

Learn to stand up - One big mistake that a lot of us make is that we prioritize the problems of others ahead of our very own. But by helping them at a bad time in our lives we creating an opening for frustration as well as stress and we find that we can't meet previous deadlines.
