Sleep food triggers
What you eat will have a real effect on how well you sleep with a definite relationship between what folks eat and how well they sleep. A lot of folks have a late dinner or sandwich out of hand but unfortunately, doing these things can in reality be causing you to sustain nothing less than a terrible evening's rest.
To be sure you don't have food related sleep problems it would be a good idea to make a list of your favorite foods and beverages which are likely causing you inability to sleep. Of course, the first drink on that list is coffee or other caffeinated produces due to the heightened sense of alertness they provide.
In order to avoid having a caffeinated beverage such as coffee affect your night's sleep you should think about drinking your last cup of the day not after three o'clock. If you are a late afternoon drinker debate having teas instead because of the health benefits of teas such as in green tea and herbal teas, that are caffeine free.
Alcohol can also cause problems with sleep and a relaxing glass of wine before bed is likely keeping you from getting to sleep or from sleeping deeply. To eliminate this as a factor simply drink prior to dinner time an eliminate the ever popular evening drinks like the nightcap or after dinner glass of bourbon. To make sure a restroom break doesn't get you out of be avoid beverages and hour and a half before hitting the sac. You may be surprised how these simple changes help you attain a great night's sleep.
Most of the time you are going to want to avoid sleep problems & food choices like body warming spicy foods that quicken your blood flow and can wake you up! Some spicy foods can tend to create gastrointestinal issues like heartburn, gas and constipation. All of these problems are ones that will make it hard to sleep so in order to prevent this avoid spicy foods for dinner. Consider eating them for lunch if you can't stay away from them too long. You may also want to avoid eating three hours before going to bed as most folks don't understand that digestion causes the body to become active in both circulation and internal muscles.
Digestion can be the culprit of you not getting a good rest or you not getting to the deeper levels of sleep of the sleep cycle. Your body will be concerned with moving your last meal along so eat at least three hours before bed. If your digestive tract moves at turtle's pace then be sure to consume your dinner no later than seven to ensure you get a good night's rest.
